South Sudan Women United (SSWU) is a Nonprofit organization representing a small village of individuals committed to promoting peace, human rights and humanitarian efforts to reduce human suffering. SSWU was co-founded in 2014 by Nyakan Gile and Esther Sprague shortly after eruption of conflict in 2013 in South Sudan to support women and children impacted by the war. We have since grown into a well-recognized organization implementing  short and long-term programmes.

Mission

We exist to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable and marginalized women and children especially those forced to flee their homes from human right abuses, conflict, and climate related disasters through advocacy, fundraising and the delivery of services.
